EUROPEAN UNION EMERGENCY MEASURES FOR NMWP

The Official Journal of the European Communities  ((notified under document # C92001) 694) require by reference in the annex to that document that: Effective October 1, 2001 all NMWP (Non-Manufactured Wood Products) packaging shipped to the European Union must be compliant with the European Union Emergency Measures and be labeled with the international symbol for compliant Non-Manufactured Wood Packing.

There are current standards governing these regulations and accredited agencies granted authority through ALSC (American Lumber Standard Committee) that are overseen by APHIS ( Animal & Plant Health Inspection Service of the USDA).  To this end we are compliant and able to meet the needs of these requirements through our certification (see our registered stamp above) by an ALSC approved agency.
